The Purchase Order feature can make it easier for you to organize the creation and management of purchase orders with suppliers.. With this feature, you can select a supplier, determine the destination outlet, set the payment term, add the products to be purchased, and complete supporting information such as the supplier reference and notes.
Structured recordkeeping makes the purchasing process more efficient, makes it easier to monitor order status, and helps maintain stock availability at each outlet. The following are the steps to add a list of suppliers in the Mekari POS Back Office.
A. Purchasing Goods
Go to the Purchases menu and select the Purchase orders submenu.
On the Purchase orders page, click the “Create purchase order” button
Select the desired Purchase type.
Select the Supplier name and Destination Outlet as the recipient of the goods.
In the Payment term section, specify the payment period.
Click “Pick a product” to select the products you want to add to the purchase.
Select the products by checking the boxes provided and click “Confirm”.
You can also add Notes if needed, then click “Create order” to save the order.
The purchase form will then be created.
B. Receiving Goods
Once the purchase form has been created, you can continue the goods receiving process as follows.
- After the form is saved, you will be directed to the following page, where you can click “Receive goods” to continue the goods receiving process.
- Alternatively, you can go to the Purchase orders submenu and click the “document number” with the Ordered status to start the goods receiving process.
- On the following page, click the “Receive goods” button.
- A pop-up like this will appear, where you can enter the total number of goods received. If it is correct, click “Confirm receipt”.
- The order status will then change to Delivered.
